We hope you had a great Christmas and an even better New Years Eve. We have had some great gigs recently, one that stands out was for The East Anglian Turkey Farmers Association, at Stoke By Nayland Golf Club. This was the fourth year we have performed for this group and we absolutely love it! Especially as we get to see the turkeys that the farmers put on show to win the cup! The function room used is large and has a great dance floor for the guests to strut their stuff, and they never fail to disappoint as the floor is packed the whole night!
Talking of New Year, we had a gig at Rivenhall Hotel for the hotel’s New Years Eve Party and although compared to the majority of our gigs, the guests were few, they sure knew how to party. They danced all night long and applauded us after each song, they all made us feel really welcome and that helped us to enjoy our own New Years Eve! At midnight in true BOTR tradition we have our old radio and playing and listen to the chimes of Big Ben, this never fails to make us smile. We gave them a bit of every decade to ensure there was something for everyone. They didn’t want it to end but unfortunately these things do and we ended with one of our favourite, Frank Sinatra’s New York New York, and the legs were kicking high! Thank you to everyone there!
