Joanne trained at the Arts Educational Schools and then started her performing career working with Band on the Run, over 20 years ago! She then went on to work in various theatre productions, in UK and Europe, and is delighted to now be back working with Band on the Run.

Joanne started her singing career with Band on the Run in 1997 following her professional Musical Theatre training at the Arts Educational Schools. After 6 years working with the band she went on to broaden her experience working in various productions including UK and European tours as lead singer with West End theatre show AbbaMania. Career highlights have included performing with Tom Jones and Meatloaf and a live television performance filmed inside the Moulin Rouge in Paris. Joanne spent 3 years living in Spain where she performed as lead singer and dancer in a resident Cabaret show and where she also co-produced, choreographed and performed in a fully live Abba show which toured theatres around Spain.

Joanne now lives back in the UK with her 2 children and is delighted that her career has brought her back to Band On The Run with people that feel like family and with whom she loves to perform.

Julie

Jules has been surrounded by music all her life and grew up in a musical family. Being in Band on the Run gives her the opportunity to sing the different styles of music she loves, singing both lead and backing harmonies.

Jules began her singing career gigging with various function bands in the late 1990s before joining band on the run over 18 years ago. She has performed at a wide range of venues and has been privileged to have entertained at so many special personal events for the clients she has worked for.

Her love of singing and performing began at a very young age being surrounded by musicians and singers within her family and being part of Band on the Run has enabled her to fulfil her passion of singing. She now has 2 children of her own both of which are carrying on the family tradition playing rhythm guitar and singing in their own bands.

Steve

Steve studied classical piano at the Royal Academy of Music before joining a Covers band as a keyboard player in his late teens. Steve has since played in various function bands in venues across the UK over the years before co-founding Band on the Run in 1997 which is now enjoying its 25^th year.

Steve is also our Musical Director and when not performing live you will often find him in the Recording Studio producing new arrangements for Band on the Run.

There’s a reason why so many clients return time and time again and Steve never tires of telling people he has the best job in the world…… “I get paid for doing what I love, making sure that the music from Band on the Run lives up to the high standards we have set and that every performance is a top night for everyone. Our mission is to ensure all of our Clients have a night to remember which is the reason why we all do it!”

Dan

Dan is BOTRs newest member and is at the beginning of his musical career.

He is the 4th generation musician in his family so has always been inspired to entertain with his talent and has learned a level of professionalism way beyond his years from them. He is a multi instrumentalist playing both rhythm and lead guitar, drums and bass guitar, all of which are his favourites!!!

Dan has played in many local productions in the pit band and has been with BOTR for nearly 2 years now loving every minute of playing his part in giving everyone a night to remember on the dance floor.

Outside of the band his life is music!!! He loves all genres of music ranging from rhythm and blues to the Beatles to the Jam.

Ian

Ian comes from a musical family and has played at every type of function over the years.
Co-founder of Band on the Run.

Ian and Steve started Band on the Run back in 1997. Their shared love of music and performing was the perfect start to the band’s story and being good friends meant they had a shared vision for the band’s future.

Prior to forming Band on the Run Ian worked in many London hotels as a musician including the Savoy, the Grosvenor and the Connaught Rooms. Coming from a musical background Ian started working alongside his father in his Function Band at the tender age of 16 as the Drummer and latterly the Lead Male Vocalist.

Ian’s background in working at London hotspots has given him a wealth of experience and knowledge about what really makes a party a hit. During the daytime, Ian is also our Booking Co-ordinator and is able to offer impartial advice and guidance to help you plan your perfect function.

Mike

Mike holds down the bottom end in the band. He played his first gig at 14 and has gained a wide range of experience in many types of music including, Big Band, Summer Seasons, Artist tours, Theatre and Sessions.
