Last night, Saturday 21 January, we played for the 50th birthday party for Joy. She had hired the local hall and she loves Brazil, so had decorated the whole hall with feathers, carnival things, masks, and lots of beautiful colours.
She has asked all guests to dress colourful and there were some beautiful outfits.
She wanted to enter the hall to some carnival music and she did a short dance with her husband Ron. Then everyone sat for a 3 course meal whilst we played some background music. Once they had finished the show begun. Joy had hired a Brazilian dance couple who performed a couple of numbers. Then we were to begin.
Joy had requested that we keep most of the night upbeat with only 1 or 2 slow songs. We did as she requested and kept the dance floor packed throughout. Great night had by all, a great host and theme.
