Ian comes from a musical family and has played at every type of function over the years.

Ian and Steve started Band on the Run back in 1997. Their shared love of music and performing was the perfect start to the band’s story and being good friends meant they had a shared vision for the band’s future.
Prior to forming Band on the Run Ian worked in many London hotels as a musician including the Savoy, the Grosvenor and the Connaught Rooms. Coming from a musical background Ian started working alongside his father in his Function Band at the tender age of 16 as the Drummer and latterly the Lead Male Vocalist.
Ian’s background in working at London hotspots has given him a wealth of experience and knowledge about what really makes a party a hit. During the daytime, Ian is also our Booking Co-ordinator and is able to offer impartial advice and guidance to help you plan your perfect function.
